The Kindergarten Department seeks to prepare academic, educational and advanced cadres for kindergarten teachers in an integrated and balanced manner academically, professionally, psychologically and educationally, in a way that keeps pace with scientific developments in this field.

The vision of the Kindergarten Department at the College of Education at Gharyan University is achieved by emphasizing the academic specializations that female students study in this department, which are concerned with providing them with the knowledge and academic skills necessary for professional and job performance through studying specialized academic courses to prepare a kindergarten teacher, in addition to a set of general educational curricula, as well as Benefiting from global developments in the field of child education in cooperation with the authorities concerned with children and childhood, whether at the local or regional level.

The mission of the Kindergarten Department is crystallized in the interest in graduating distinguished teachers to work with children in the kindergarten stage, which includes the fourth and fifth years of a child’s life, in order to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to prepare a distinguished child educationally, psychologically, physically, socially, and health-wise, in a way that guarantees him excellence in all current and future fields. Through specialized teaching courses aimed at providing them with the foundations of knowledge and skills in accordance with international standards, in addition to specialized training courses, professional consultations, cultural seminars, and the department’s cooperation with scientific institutions concerned with childhood development locally and regionally.

The Kindergarten Department seeks to achieve the following goals:
1. Preparing female students to work as kindergarten teachers after graduating from university
Due to the importance of this stage because it is the basic basis for upbringing and education and the gateway to human development.
2. Raising the scientific, professional, skills, cultural and intellectual level of female students in the field of kindergarten and introducing them to contemporary educational trends.
3. Conducting scientific research and studies in the areas of kindergarten specialization.
4. Exchanging experiences and information with Arab and international educational and cultural institutions, and cooperating with them on educational issues of common interest.
